(Sydney, 23/10) SFI (SOHO Flordis International) headquartered in Sydney (Australia) has acquired Potters (http://www.pottersherbals.co.uk) through its Swiss subsidiary company Ginsana SA. Potter, based in Wigan, England, has more than 200 years of history and producing high quality herbal-based treatments and medicines. The company was founded by Henry Potter in 1812, and the products use more than 50 different plants to help some of life’s common health issues, such as digestive concerns, stress, coughs, colds and insomnia. The Potters brand features products such as Allerclear, Red Kooga® (http://www.redkooga.co.uk), Seatone® (http://www.seatone.co.uk), and Calcia. The terms of the acquisition included the EquazenTM brand portfolio, one of the world’s leading fish oil product, a supplement with a combination of Omega-3 and Omega-6. The name of "EquazenTM" consists of two words: "Equa" and "Zen", means right balance between science and nature. SFI also owns rights of the brand The Potters and EquazenTM brand portfolios were previously owned by the Swiss pharmaceutical company Vifor Pharma (one of companies from Galenica Group), a global leader in the treatment of iron deficiency. Potter’s Herbals joining the SFI portfolio will provide Indonesia access to more herbal-based pharmaceutical products through SFI’s alliance with SGH (SOHO Global Health), and will also provide a stronger platform for Indonesian herbal sales in Europe in the future.
