SOHO Industri Pharmasi Won Rintisan Teknologi (Rintek) Industri 2021 Award

Jakarta, (2/12) - As a form of appreciation to industry/business entity with superior and innovative performance, the Ministry of Industry held Rintisan Teknologi (Rintek) Industri 2021 Award on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at the Garuda Room, Ministry of Industry Building, Jakarta. The Rintek 2021 award was given by the Minister of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia, Agus Gumiwang, to Dr. Raphael Aswin Susilowidodo, ST, M.Si, CIP as Vice President of R&D, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, PT SOHO Global Health.

For this purpose SOHO presented Curcuma Force as a superior product with the latest innovation and the first in Indonesia to provide higher bioavailability of curcumin by upgrading the formula. Curcuma Force is an innovative synergistic combination of Curcumae xanthorrhiza Rhizoma Extract and Piperine.

By the jury, SOHO is considered active in carrying out innovative research and development activities through the R&D unit and by collaborating with ABGC (Academic, Business, Government, Community) to produce Curcuma Force, an innovative and competitive product that can be positioned as alternative solution in dealing with COVID-19, this is also in line with the guidebook for the use of herbs and health supplements for handling COVID-19 published by Indonesian FDA. SOHO is also considered superior and pioneer in the application of technology, information and communication-based innovation in industrial technology 4.0 by utilizing Smart Farming in its curcuma plantation process at the SCEHR Sukabumi research facility.

In his remarks, the Minister of Industry stated that the industry needs to carry out research and technology development activities so that our dependence on imports can be minimized. Therefore, the government through the Ministry of Industry is proactive in supporting the industry with policies and provision of fiscal facilities, namely Super Tax deductions for national companies that carry out Research & Development, as well as non-fiscal policies such as regulations related to TKDN (local content level) so that national industrial products can become more competitive globally. This is the government’s attempt to realize Making Indonesia 4.0: making Indonesia included in the top 10 countries with the largest economies in the world by 2030.
